When in doubt always ask?

Aadhaar KYC is an identity verification process that uses the tenant’s Aadhaar number and OTP authentication to pull verified personal details directly from the UIDAI database. In a coliving context, this means when a new tenant is being onboarded, they enter their Aadhaar number, receive an OTP on their registered mobile number, and upon successful verification, their name, address, date of birth, and photograph are automatically pulled into the tenant profile. This eliminates manual data entry, removes the need for physical Aadhaar card photocopies, and ensures that the government authenticates the identity data stored in your system. The verified data then flows into lease generation, compliance reports, and tenant records automatically.

DigiLocker integration allows tenants to share verified government-issued documents directly from their DigiLocker account to your coliving platform. Instead of asking tenants to photograph or scan their Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, or other identity documents, the platform connects to DigiLocker through a secure API and pulls the digitally signed copies with the tenant’s consent. Every document retrieved through DigiLocker carries a digital signature from the issuing authority, which makes it more reliable than a scanned copy. For coliving operators, this simplifies the document-collection step during onboarding, reduces the time tenants spend submitting paperwork, and strengthens the legal foundation of your compliance records.

Yes. Aadhaar eSign is recognised as a valid form of electronic signature under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the amendments that govern electronic signatures in India. When a tenant signs a lease agreement through Aadhaar eSign, the document is digitally signed using the tenant’s Aadhaar credentials after OTP authentication. The signed document includes a digital certificate, a timestamp, and a unique transaction identifier, which together make it tamper-proof and legally enforceable. This means your Leave and Licence Agreements carry the same legal standing as physically signed documents, and the digital audit trail actually makes them easier to defend in case of a dispute.

During Video KYC, the tenant joins a live video call through the platform. The session is guided and recorded. The tenant clearly shows their face on camera and presents their Aadhaar card or another identity document. The system captures screenshots of the tenant and the document, records the full video session with timestamp and geolocation metadata, and in AI-enabled setups, performs a real-time face match between the live video and the photograph on the identity document. The recorded session is stored against the tenant profile and serves as auditable proof that identity verification was conducted. This is particularly useful for tenants who book a coliving space from another city and cannot be physically present for in-person verification.

Yes. The platform is built for multi-property operations. When you add a new property, it automatically inherits the same verification workflows, lease templates, and compliance rules that your other properties use. Tenants at every property undergo the same Aadhaar KYC, DigiLocker document verification, eSign lease execution, and Video KYC processes. Property managers and compliance teams can view verification status across all properties from a single dashboard, filter by property or verification type, and generate compliance reports at the portfolio level.

A core identity and legal integration platform covering Aadhaar KYC, DigiLocker integration, Aadhaar eSign-based lease signing, and Video KYC typically takes 10 to 16 weeks to build. This includes API integrations with UIDAI and DigiLocker, lease template configuration, eSign workflow setup, Video KYC module development, tenant dashboard, compliance reporting, and cross-device testing. The timeline depends on the number of lease templates, state-specific legal requirements, the number of properties in scope, and any custom workflow requirements. We scope the full project in the first consultation and provide a week-by-week delivery plan before development begins.
